Wow! I cannot believe it is already Friday! I guess that going into a vacation knowing that it is two weeks long makes it go by faster, and seem shorter. I really have had an amazing week, thankfully, and I am hoping for another week of fun and fearlessness.
We got in from the beach a little later on Wednesday afternoon, and I was not sure when dinner would be, so I snack on this mix of 1 mini box of Cheerios (60 calories) and 1/4 cup of store brand dried fruit and nut mix.
It hit the spot and did tide me over to a nice later dinner of pork tenderloin, roasted red potatoes, and salad. Yum. Well, yesterday I was literally at the beach ALL DAY. It was great though, I mostly read, but we went to the pool and also played volleyball. Talk about fun in the sun!
As far as workouts have been going, I am trying to keep on track of what I’ve been “assigned” to do at this time, only 45 min. 3 days a week of cardio, and weight training 3-4 days a week. I think I may have already gone over on the cardio quota, because I’ve gone every morning to the gym this week since Sunday and I’ve done two days of 45 minutes and 3 days of 30, so this morning I chose/forced myself to only do weight training and I cooled down with 10 minutes of walking on the treadmill. It still felt like an “off” day to me, so I’m not really sure how to react and convince myself it’s okay. I am still tweeking things and figuring out what days are best, how many, and how long cardio sessions should be for me. When I returned I had my signature breakfast: 2 Kashi waffles w/ AB, a banana w/ PB, one egg, and some vanilla yogurt. I just had a snack of the last of some fresh melon and a Kashi trail mix bar, while visiting w/ cousins:
I think the only other thing on my mind that is possibly making me nervous is the eating out situation. I haven’t done it more than twice since I’ve been here, and I make smart choices when I do, but I think the OCD part of me thinks it is bad to eat out two days in a row. UGH. I’m going to try and not care, because I want to enjoy my vacation, and it’s more than just about food. And for the last time, I KNOW HOW TO EAT HEALTHY AND MAKE HEALTHY CHOICES, so where I do that really shouldn’t matter that much! Phew…
Now, I am about to slip on a bathing suit, lather up with sunscreen and head to the beach to begin the third of my vampire book series, Eliclipse. I am serious, these books are just so darn addicting. Hope everyone’s Friday is going well, and that fun weekends are planned all around! ![]()
